Directions
- Prepare a pot with a thick bottom, add oil and heat it to medium high temperature.
- Season chicken thighs with salt and pepper, then sear on each side until golden (~ 4 minutes).
- Transfer the chicken to a different container, then fry diced onions and garlic in the pot (~ 6 minutes).
- Add beer, ketchup, sugar, vinegar, paprika and worcestershire sauce.
- Mix everything thoroughly and add chicken.
- Bring it to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and cook it covered for 1 hour.
- After this time, remove the chicken, separate the meat from the bones and shred it using 2 forks.
- Season the remaining sauce with salt and pepper, then cook until thickened, about 20 minutes.
- Mix chicken with sauce and serve on toasted buns.

1.5 kg chicken thighs
230 g ketchup
1 onion
3 garlic cloves
180 ml lager beer
1 tbsp. oil
1 tbsp. worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp. brown sugar
1 tbsp. apple cider vinegar
1.5 tsp. smoked paprika
5 buns (preferably potato buns)
salt and pepper ot taste
