Directions
- Soak the dry beans in cold water for 5-12 hours.
- Drain it. Then again cover in cold water and cook until soft for 1-2 hours.
- Leave the boiled beans to cool down.
- If you are using canned beans, just drain them.
- Peel the onion and chop into small cubes.
- Heat a little bit of oil in a pan, add allspice, cloves and bay leaves.
- Fry the onion over medium heat together with the herbs until it softens and slightly browns.
- Take out the herbs and set aside to cool down.
- Grind the beans using a meat grinder or blender.
- Add marjoram, soy sauce and then salt and pepper to taste.
- Finally, add fried onions and cool it in the fridge for a few hours.

1 large onion
2 bay leaves
2 allspice
2 cloves
0.5 tsp. marjoram
1 tbsp. soy sauce
oil for frying
salt and pepper to taste
